Immunogen: |
Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of Threonine 1457 (A-Y-T(p)-P-Q) derived from Human PPAR-BP. |
Purification: |
Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates. Antibodies were purified by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. Non-phospho specific antibodies were removed by chromatogramphy usi |
Specificity/Sensitivity: |
The antibody detects endogenous level of PPAR-BP only when phosphorylated at Threonine 1457. |
Applications: |
WB |
Background: |
Component of the Mediator complex, a coactivator involved in the regulated transcription of nearly all RNA polymerase II-dependent genes. Mediator functions as a bridge to convey information from gene-specific regulatory proteins to the basal RNA polymerase II transcription machinery. Mediator is recruited to promoters by direct interactions with regulatory proteins and serves as a scaffold for the assembly of a functional preinitiation complex with RNA polymerase II and the general transcription factors. |
