Description
- Swiss-Prot No.:
- Swiss-Prot#:P16220;
NCBI Gene#:1385
- Form of Antibody:
- Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
- Immunogen:
- Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of threonine 100 (S-G-T(p)-Q-I) derived from Human CREB.
- appl_detail:
- Western blotting: 1:500~1:3000
- other_names:
- cAMP responsive element binding protein 1; cAMP-response element binding protein; CREB-1; CREB1
- Purification:
- Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates. Antibodies were purified by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. Non-phospho specific antibodies were removed by chromatogramphy usi
- Specificity:
- The antibody detects endogenous levels of CREB only when phosphorylated at threonine 100.
- Background:
- Phosphorylation-dependent transcription factor that stimulates transcription upon binding to the DNA cAMP response element (CRE), a sequence present in many viral and cellular promoters. Transcription activation is enhanced by the TORC coactivators which act independently of Ser-133 phosphorylation. Involved in different cellular processes including the synchronization of circadian rhythmicity and the differentiation of adipose cells.
