  • other_names:
  • Constitutive NOS; EC-NOS; ECNOS; NOS3; NOSIII
  • Purification:
  • Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates. Antibodies were purified by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. Non-phospho specific antibodies were removed by chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide.
  • Specificity:
  • The antibody detects endogenous level of eNOS only when phosphorylated at serine 1177.
  • Applications:
  • WB
  • Background:
  • Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is implicated in vascular smooth muscle relaxation through a cGMP-mediated signal transduction pathway. NO mediates vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced angiogenesis in coronary vessels and promotes blood clotting through the activation of platelets.
