  • other_names:
  • LIMK-1; kinase LIMK1;
  • Purification:
  • Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates. Antibodies were purified by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. Non-phospho specific antibodies were removed by chromatogramphy using non-phosphopeptide.
  • Specificity:
  • The antibody detects endogenous level of LIMK1 only when phosphorylated at threonine 508.
  • Applications:
  • WB IHC IF
  • Background:
  • Protein kinase which regulates actin filament dynamics. Phosphorylates and inactivates the actin binding/depolymerizing factor cofilin, thereby stabilizing the actin cytoskeleton. Isoform 3 has a dominant negative effect on actin cytoskeletal changes. May be involved in brain development.
