FOX transcription factors are characterized by a distinct DNA-binding forkhead domain and play critical roles in the regulation of multiple processes including metabolism, cell proliferation and gene expression during ontogenesis. Transcription factor required for proper proliferation and differentiation in the gastrointestinal epithelium.
