Purification:

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phospholation site.

Specificity/Sensitivity:

β-catenin（Phospho-Ser552)antibody detects endogenous levels of β-catenin only when phospholated at Serine552 .

Applications:

Background:

Increased transcriptional activity of β-catenin resulting from Wnt/Wingless-dependent or-independent signaling has been detected in many types of human cancer. AKT phosphorylates β-catenin at Ser552, which leads to its disassociation from cell-cell contacts, increases its transcriptional activity and enhances invasion by tumor cells [i].
